When I still had it, it was this gun here. Benelli MP95E "Atlanta", scarry accurate!
Now it's my CZ Kadet conversion..

Ruger 22/45 MK III Bull Barrel (the "Evil Plinker").

Seriously I bought this one on a lark and then had buyers remorse a little later when I decided I should have purchased a "hunter" model. But for whatever reason my particular pistol has a really nice factory trigger and seems to be tack driver accurate (far more than I expected from the short barrel) so it has won me over.

Ruger MKII Target, I've had it for about 15 years now and it just works great for me. I've had it longer than any other gun I own and it's not going anywhere. I go back and forth over whether to scope it or not but am leaning towards buying a second one to scope and leave mine as is.

I bought a Browning Buckmark 5.5 URX Stainless. I wanted a general purpose gun that was also accurate. I got what I wanted. Just yesterday, I put on a MatchDot sight. I sighted it in today and decided that I really like it. I'm very inexperienced, but from a rest I could get quarter-sized 10-shot groups from a rest.

Now I get to experiment with different brands of 22 ammo to see what the gun likes best. :)

Okiecruffler, is that scope in the first pic on backwards?

General, you're either joking, or you got the best factory freak in the history of firearms.

i use my single six because it currently my only option. and it works.

Beretta U22 Neos w/ Pine Ridge Green Dot, and soon to pick up a Buck Mark Camper.

Just one??? Nah:evil:

For Silhouette I like my Buckmark Silhouette.. Accurate, good trigger and 10" barrel keeps me from shooting my leg in the creedmore position:D

For Gallery I like my Pardini SP- super trigger and reliabilit and weight forward ballance point helps keep the muzzle in control during rapid fire event.

For Informal target/action games- I like a Ruger MK II Bull Barrel

For pure fun/plinking a 6" S&W Mod 17/617 revolver ( with a Ruger single six running close second.)

For centerfire practice semi auto practice I like a Marvel kit on a S&W 1911 frame

for CF revolver practice I like a 4" mod 18 or 617

I need more reasons ;)

My current favorite .22 plinker and woods gun is a 22/45 MKIII. Actually, it is identical to ZeSpectre's pistol, minus the dot sight. I thought about it long and hard and decided I didn't want to ruin a light and handy pistol with a big attachment! :p

For non-Bullseye competition, just about any quality .22 will serve quite well IMO. They're cheap, fun and easy to shoot. And cheap fun is good. With the price of ammo lately, .22s are still the biggest bargain on the block, even if you discount the failure rate of bulk-pack ammo! ;)

So am I...

...the only one with a Ruger Mark I with the bull barrel?

Man, I knew I was getting old, but this is ridiculous! :neener:

I've never been a good enough shot to be a serious target shooter. For my own needs this old MKII Target still shoots better than I'm capable of.
