What is the deal with picatinny rings?

I am thinking about purchasing a Kel-Tec SU-16 this weekend. I am a little confused about the picatinny rail it has on top of the reciever. What kind of scope rings will attach to this rail?? Is it the same as a weaver base?


If you have a link to a place that sells rings for a picatinny rail please post it.

Basically, the Picatinny milspec rails are similar to a Weaver rail except the Picatinny cuts are slightly wider. Weaver rings will fit a Weaver or Picatinny rail, but Picatinny rings will only fit a Picatinny rail.
