Interesting ?? I guess one would be my S&W 627-5 in .38 Super. It holds 8 rounds useing full moon clips and has a removeable Factory compinsator --- only a few thousand were made by the S&W Performance Center in the mid-80s.

AMT AutoMag III in 9mm Magnum

AMT AutoMag III in 9mm Magnum.

This was the very last 9mm WinMag to leave the factory. I bought it from over the phone back when I was a dealer. Since then I have fired 200 - 300 rounds through it with one squib (my fault, bad load) and a few fail to feed/eject in one session only and that was due to it needing cleaning and oiling. Since then it has been it's usual flawless self.

It is for sale here in the handgun area.

9mm WinMag from Starline. You can by direct from Starline or from Midway. I was told you can fire form .223 and cut it down to 29mm in length and use it but that leaves the rim .010 under-size. It is the same length and dia as a .38 spl so I bet you could take .357 Magnum cases and lathe the old rim down to match the 9mm WinMag configuration then shorten it to 29mm but I doubt that will be needed as they still sell it and 500 rounds of brass will last YEARS if you pick up what you fire!

Steyr Mannlicher M1901, not my photo - but definitely the strangest pistol I have.

We've had some really need handguns pop up in this thread. Thanks to everyone has shared so far and anyone who continues to share. I've found this to be an interesting read.

By the way gvass, what is this revolver you've got there? It looks like it shoots large rubber balls?

Unusual

I have a JP Sauer 38H. It's a .32acp pistol that you can cock and decock with a lever operated by your thumb.

Some of you guys need to get out more.

A Beretta Model 75 with threaded barrel, AAC Pilot sound suppressor, and Docter sight. It also has a standard barrel to put it back to original. All components are lightweight and compact; this gun weighs little more than an all steel pocket pistol with out sight and can. ..............................................................

Yes, 18 mm (12 ga) rubber balls fired by 9x17 mm R blanks. Four-shot TRAUMATIC (non-lethal) revolver. Muzzle energy is 80-100 joule.

(The most effective home defense gun you can have here without licence.)

Mine would have to be my Iver Johnson "Target Sealed 8". It's a double action revolver but the cylinder loads like a single action. Instead of swinging out as you would expect, it's held in place by a base pin and is easily removed.

Well, since I sold my S&W pre-war 22/32 kit gun my most unique pistol is my Nickel Whitney Wolverine.

This gun is unique for a ton of reasons mechanically and for the fact that it was about 40 years ahead of its time. If they tried to make this identical gun today it would probably cost about $1500.

I have 3 of them (missed a 4th by about 15 minutes the other day :cuss: )but only one in nickel as very few were made.

Sport45, your Iver Johnson may be able to be loaded like my dad's old H&R. You press the lever at the front, pull the pin, roll the cylinder out, use the base pin to eject, reload the cylinder, and reassemble. Not as complicated as it sounds, and since the base pin pushes the extractor and dumps the brass, I think it was made to be operated this way.

The gun doesn't have an extractor. There is a slot on the right side where a single action loading gate would be. You push the empty case out and reload through the slot. You can also pull the base pin, remove the cylinder and then empty and reload it outside the frame. It's been a long time since I had the cylinder out and I honestly don't remember if the base pin can be used to push out the empties. I just carried a small allen wrench to push them out when I shot it.

the most interesting handgun i own is a ruger mkII .22 target model i bought from a friend of mine last fall........ it was never shot and it was his brother's who died that year.... i was friends with both of them........ it is still new as in never shot...... but i might have to take to the range soon to see how it does..........

life is short.....

I didn't own it, but my friend had a semi auto revolver. If I can get ahold of him I'll find out it's name. Very weird looking gun.

This gun which was given to me a few months ago by a family friend. It's a Spanish STAR 9MM LARGO which i've yet to fire due to the inability to locate 9mm Largo ammo. And I've yet to meet a person who even knows what a 9mm largo is in my town. I'm also unable to find any info on it because apparently parts are next to impossible to find for it. Everyone thinks its a old school m1911 copy but trust me its far from it.
