Single action automatics are my favorite, especially the John Browning guns (1911 and BHP).

In order:

Singlestack 1911s.
Doublestack 1911s.

Dont really have any other favorites, I like it, dont care for it, or downright hate it.

Revolver with Hogue mono grip then single stack in 45 and finally High Standards with target grips, oooh so sweet.

I actually have several favorites.

1911s

DA revolvers of several stripes (Taurus, S&W K and N frames)

Compact .40s and 9s

I like 1911's, double stack 9mm's and single stack 9mm's. I also like revolvers. The only guns I don't really like as much are double stack .45's.

Real:
Ruger P89, Beretta 92FS, Luger P08, 1911

Fiction:
1) Master-crafted bolter in 20mm explosive tip AP blessed by the Emperor
2) Master-crafted combi-flamer
3) Master-crafted plasma pistol blessed by the Emperor and bearing the littany of accuracy
4) Monofilament gauntlet (minus the space elf in the clown suit)
5) Baby Venom Cannon
6) Klingon disrupter pistol (phasers are for weakling 'umaaan ensigns)
7) Baby BFG9000

Quality .22 LR pistols and revolvers. I seem to shoot one hundred rounds of .22 LR for every round of centerfire ammo. S&W K-22's, Ruger Mark II's, a Marvel conversion on an old Caspian frame, and Ruger Mark II lowers with Tactical Solutions uppers all see lots of rounds.

I tend to like revolvers better than semi autos. I like my K frame revolvers best. Also, I don't have to chase brass when shooting a revolver.

I tend to be a traditionalist and like the 1911 single stack better than other autos. Although a double stack 9mm wasn't bad at all.

My experience is somewhat limited though. I've tried .380 semi auto, 45 and 9mm Semi Auto and .22 semi auto. The .380 was the only small framed auto that I'ver tried. All the others were full sized.

Revolvers I've tried 22lr K frame 357 K frame and J frame 357. Oh and an N framed 44 magnum equivilant (ruger redhawk).

I'll try just about anything even though I'm not a fan of polymer or scandium handguns.
