Lately, it is my 1953 Hungarian M44. I bought it in a Bubba'd up Russian stock, it was too good of a deal to pass up. The stock was all wrong but it was basically a new gun as far as the action. I just horse traded for a proper Hungarian 02 stock and took it out and it actually improved from a 4 MOA to a 3 MOA rifle in the new stock. The bolt and trigger are incredibly smooth for a Mosin, almost like an Enfield, I bet the trigger is only about 4lbs. Great gun, and I love shooting .18 per round decent sized ammo.
Before that, it was this 1952 Model 1894 Winchester I bought in Arizona. It's just a pleasure to shoot and I love .30-30 and lever guns.
For me, it's all about wood, steel, history and those are what make these old rifles fun to shoot. They always bring a smile to my face.
