DHart - absolutely great photos. Contrast is amazing. I LOVE the Colt in the second photo. Clean slide - no markings. Plain vanilla is best in my book. And no front slide serrations on the commander. Woot!
Hello, I have two 45 acp's that are as different as day and night but both are a pleasure to shoot in their own way and bring a smile of satisfaction to my face every time I take either to the range.
1). S&W M&P 45 acp
2). Springfield SS 1911 TRP
Best,

I have a few .45 ACP guns, but the one that realy puts a smile on my face is my COLT Officers S.S. enhanced .45 ACP. I bought one new when they first came out. Every time I pick it up I think about when my wife Annie & I were just married. This was my 1st, 1911 A-1, the gun Annie shot her 1st. time at the range, her protection when I was deployed in '93 on my 2nd tour to the persion gulf, and my only gun for a looooooong time. I'm not letting Annie or that COLT go any time soon !
Unless I missed it I believe that I am the only one who picked the 4506-1.I have had many 1911's over many years of shooting but my 4506-1 is the only one that has never let me down.It feeds everything I put in it.The 1911's have better triggers and can be had with scads of options but my box stock smith is my favorite.
