1. Jennings
2. Lorcin
3. Raven
4. Arminus
5. any S&W with the infernal lock
6. anything in 10 gauge
7. anything in .270
8. a COP
9. anything in .25 ACP
10 Windicator
11. that electronic ignition rifle Remington made
12. anything I have to pay a transfer tax (other than Pittman-Robertson) to own.

The first 5 because I don't trust them and the rest for various and sundry reasons.

There's another whole list I might consider for grins and chuckles if the price was outstanding or it was a gift, and I might even consider #5-9 if necessary to complete a trade. Trading stock is not an "owned" gun in my book. It is more like currency. I don't go looking for pennies, $2 bills or the dollar coins the government insists on wasting money producing every few years, either, but I won't refuse them if offered in payment.

I seem to own, or have owned in the past many of the guns people will never buy. I had a jennings/lorcin (I cant even remember which) .25 that I got from my grandfather that I never had a problem with. I couldn't figure out the purpose of the thing so it went away. I had a Kel-tec SU-16 that I really liked, but with the addition of a LaRue AR-15 I just couldnt justify keeping it. I have a glock 19 that I really enjoy as a range gun and can shoot pretty well; and one of my personal (GASP) favorites is a taurus 605 .357 snub revolver. It's functioned flawlessly through a couple hundred rounds and still locks up tight...In all reality it seems that I've just had uncanny good luck with otherwise hit-or-miss firearms manufacturers.
i'am with you Nonothing....i've had uncanny luck with my Lorcin 380 ,Lorcin 9mm, Jenninys22 , Taurus 38 UltraLite and Taurus 605...all were brought when i could not afford more expensive handguns..mainly in the child rearing age...now that that I have procured more expensive Handguns(1911's,Beretta's,Ruger's,Sigs, and Glocks , I still use these handguns on many occasions..when you are first starting out with a family you cannot afford the latest HG shown in the Gun Magazines..

might as well add my 2 cents. after reading this thread it seems clear that even among people with similar interests there will always be sides to choose and opinions to argue.
I say no Taurus, Rossi, Kel-Tec,any single shot, any .25,.32,380, and Daisy

idiotic .410 shotgun revolvers and compensation revolvers - .454, .460, .500 etc

though "raging judge" is by far the best name for a gun since, well, maybe forever.

1. Any pistol or revolver that, except for maybe 'grips', is involved with plastic!
2. Taurus M905 9mm snubby. "safe queen".

A Judge or whatever silly 410 pistol revolvers that the companies are making.

Also anything by Remington.

I won't buy fancy or sooper-dooper accurate. I'm not interested in fancy and I can't shoot that accurately. Also, I tend to be very practical about most things.

I would never buy a Taurus. I would neverevernever buy a highpoint or a keltic. As a rule of of thumb, I would rather save money on cars and eating out, and buy guns that will always work and go up in value. Thanks for the thread, very fun stuff to read.

As a new SKS owner who bought this rifle because of budgets contraints forced upon me by my government (otherwise I would have bought one of their MilSurps...)...I was actually impressed to find that since this thread began - about 4 years ago & 47 pages ago - I only found SKS listed about a handfull of times (yes, I really did go through every page).

I think this speaks to what you have going on in your life - if I had plenty of money, no family and zero demands on my finances - I probably would have bought my "dream" guns: THE M1 Garrand, an AR 10, an original Colt M1911 .45, and a Colt Peacemaker...

Then again, I'd be living in my car (at either first parking lot in Pensacola or Shark Pass in Cocoa) and I'd probably be forced to trade bullets for fish tacos...and my friends would refer to me as "Dino" (as in the pet "dinosaur" from Fred Flintstone).

For the money of I have to spend - my new SKS makes me happy - and it fills a need should anything come of the CDC's zombie appocalypse warning...

Wow, what an interesting thread. Everything I own is disliked by
somebody. :uhoh: For me, the positively never is anything
made by Taurus and any 1911 that costs a $1,000 or more.

I will never be able to understand the Glock hatred. No sense in arguing. I fully understand the beauty of wood and metal. I also understand the beauty of reliability. You guys make no sense.

- Stoeger Couger 9mm - my jam-o-matic. If I could have gotten it to fire more than two rounds in four clips. Different ammo. in all four clips

Sold at a loss as soon as I got a replacement/fix from factory. HUGE disappointment.

Any hunting rifle/shotgun with a synthetic stock! Also gimmick guns such as the Desert Eagle, or guns that are just too dang expensive such as most "tacticool" semi-auto home defense rifles.

I like my DE, lets me keep shooting .44s

I had a Norinco 1911A that was a total pile of junk.

I will never buy any AMT pistols ever again.
