What's your next semi-auto handgun purchase?

W/e I can get a good deal on. I've always wanted a six-shooter, a third gen S&W auto, and a Ruger P-something. But the price has to be right.

So many to choose from... stupid "money concerns" crushing my dreams...

I have to have an XD/XDm, and at some point one form of 10mm or another, any number of 1911s... but as for my very next one, it'll almost certainly be a basic GI-style 1911. Thinking Sfield Mil-Spec or maybe even a RIA Tactical. 1911s are the worst of all - so many of the damn things to choose from. They're a blessing and a curse.

cards81fan,

The important thing is that you tried it. I get the sense that most people who have tried and don't like Glocks have an issue with how it fits, or rather does not fit their hand. One of the main criticisms of Glock has been that they have not offered various grip modules to address this. I think they have designed it to some average sized hand and unfortunately, those who don't fit this mold are SOL.

Good luck in your search!
This past weekend I experimented with and handled the Glock more than I had in the past. The more I used it, the more I was able to understand and better point the weapon. Also, the thicker (front to back) grip allowed the meat of my hand to get a good purchase on the backstrap, which actually helped me control the gun.

I determined it was not any less usable, just different that what I had used in the past.

So I made my 1st Glock purchase and came over to the Dark Side. I am now the proud owner of a like-new, pristine (perhaps 10 rounds through it, no marking on barrel, feed ramp, magazines) 26 with Trijicons.

Decisions, decisions, decisions...I'm completely torn on this subject. I'm stuck between a G23, G27, G24, G21sf, G20sf, Para GI expert Stainless, and a SA XD(M) .45. Right now I'm leaning towards the Para because I want to do a semi-custom 1911 project. But I am absolutely indecisive right now...

Thought I would try the new Walther PK380. Always liked the looks of the walthers, P99,P22,and PP(LOL). My LGD has them in stock for $309. Same as the P22.

well i just bought my 2nd xd service model in .40, and i guess a few years down the road when my oldest gets worn out, i will buy another to replace it. over 17,5000rds right now, and i don't forsee it getting worn out anytime soon.

I have several, just depends on how much cash I have left after taxes in Sept:

CZ P-01 9mm.
S&W 5906, never cared about them before, but a friend's has got me wanting one.
Jericho full sized in 9mm
Jericho semi compact in .45 ACP (I would get the full sized, but apparently they don't/didn't make it. I have no idea why they don't). Or maybe another EAA Witness full sized .45.

M&P...

Either an full-sized M&P 40 or a M&P9 compact. I own a full-sized M&P9 with a safety. All my future M&Ps will have the safety. After really over analyzing different autoloaders, I came to the conclusion that the M&P was the best fit for me. Eventually, I will own both of these. Incredible ergonomics, quality, and the best customer support in the business. All of my future handguns will be Smiths.

I'm considering something in a .45 acp Compact. It's probably going to be either an XD or an M&P since I would be able to use the holsters I already have for my other calibers in these same lines.

I'm thinking about getting a 1911...but I'm also considering getting another Glock

I'm hang fire between getting the Sig 238 now, or waiting till the SW Bodyguard 380 comes out. Called SW and they tell me, (they always just say next month), that it will be July before they hit the dealers. I have held up on the Sig due to carrying the SA in pocket. The Bodyguard is DAO.
