Where to buy a Mosin M44

I'm looking for a place to buy an M44 (other than Wideners) no complaints, other than he's 15 days behind. I checked J and G and they have one for $219 (looking to spend around $100)

I'm in DFW, and don't know of any place locally that carries them.

DFW (Dallas/Ft. Worth) There's nothing around here. I even tried the Military Surplus store, they don't even have 1.

Well I got friend who lives down there and you maybe out of luck, the ones they do have down there are way overpriced and just not worth that much money. I'm afraid my friend your best bet is A: wait for the next gunshow that rolls into town, or B: good ole gunbroker.com and pony up for the shipping. Mosins are cheap (well the regular ones) and $100 is about as good as it gets, if you do go to a gun show to get one, try to get the seller to drop it to $80 or something, so your FFL check (if you dont have a CCW) and rifle it would be $105. Remember they made like 4 MILLION of these, so don't let them trick you into saying you are buying a vintage piece of history, well you are but its a cheap vintage piece of history.... Too bad you don't live in Nevada, you basicly trip over them out here.

Did you try Bullet Trap in Plano and Gun Master also in Plano? Check with Gun Master twice a week or so, thats how I got mine. They get a lot of stuff in and out of there.

We don't have one of those here either (Gander Mountain). It's a damn shame to live in the heart of gun country, in a Free state and not be able to find a gun they made 4 million copies of. I basically have the money in hand, ready to take delivery (I do have a concealed carry) and I'm coming up empty handed.

Do you guys think they're not being carried because the profit margin isn't high enough ?

I checked with Gunmaster, they have an 1891. I can check with Bullet Trap, though.
