I want a new .308 stainless steel bolt action rifle. I prefer that the stock be synthetic and that the barrel be a varmint/bull barrel. So far the only rifle that fits all of my preferences is the Tikka Varmint Stainless/Synthetic and the Tikka Super Vamint Stainless/Synthetic. What is the difference between the two Tikkas other than $500? Do you have any experience with either of the Tikkas. Also, there are a lot of good rifles that meet the characteristics I prefer with the exception of the bull barrel. How does the Sako compare as well as Remington, Browning, and any other rifles that you can think of? What do you recommend. Price is not an issue. Thanks.
