Which AR brand and why?

Since you mentioned a bull barreled gun

I have two Olympics that I like very much. The 20" Stainless gun is their K-8 Match Target rifle. I have a 16" bull barreled gun that used to be called the PCR-16 but Now is called the K-16. I checked prices just recently and the K-16s are about $680. Either of them comes with a free-float alluminum hanguard. They are both incredibly accurate and I have had no problems with either. Don't tell anyone butthey shoot almost as well as my Savages. They shoot close to 1/2MOA most of the time. If all you want is somethin to shoot at targets and p-dogs I would highly recomend them. I also like the DPMSrifle with bull barrel.

I tell ya, I bought a DPMS, it is the A2 I think, $835, and I took it out and pounded 380 rounds of brass cased reloads, then 500 rounds of Wolf ammo, without a cleaning, right out of the box, straight thru, without 1 single solitary failure. Nothing. Alot of it was rapid fire, like 5 mags straight, the barrel was starting to turn white. I took it home, cleaned it, and I have total confidence in it. I did'nt know much about AR's it was just what the fun store had, so I got it. I would definitley recommend it for a first timer.

Yes, it is the FUN store. It was so much cheaper going to Toys R Us, now its Guns R Us. The more the merrier.

The Olympic Arms Plinker Plus (16" Carbine) is an excellent entry level AR-15 for both teens and adults. It's probably the lowest priced AR-15 available from a major AR manufacturer, and is of excellent quality.

With a very nice price and lifetime warranty, it's a great choice. And no, I don't have any financial affiliation with them.
