Which bolt action .22 should I get

I wouldn't feel bad about anything by Marlin or CZ.

But for the price, I love my Savage Mark2. Shoots dimes at 50 yards with bulk ammo, and cost something like $125.

Another vote for the awesome value that is the CZ452. Mine is a tack driver. The triggers aren't wonderful out of the box, but there are fixes available.

If you want to see how well those CZ's will shoot,

Rifle

CZ 453, single set trigger. I have 4 target .22 rifles and it is the most accurate and it's a 'sporting" rifle. Never owned an Anschutz (that I kept or shot) but find it hard to believe that anything would out shoot the CZ. It will shoot rings around the Ruger Target Stainless Heavy barrel, Savage Target Heavy Barrel, Henry. The Ruger is the most fun and is accurate enough for anything in the real world. Such as head shots on squirrels at 25 yards. The CZ literally would hit a squirrel in the eye at 25 yards if you wished.

:) Here is another vote for the CZ 452. The latest model out is the CZ 455. I think you would like it to. Mine is a CZ 452 American with a Mueller 4.5X14 APV scope. I really like this scope and it cost $120 with free shipping from Joe Bob Outfitters. For more information look on Rimfire central dot com. Don

Savage Mark II ! You will get more for your 140 bucks than you will from any other rifle costing 3 to 5 times as much.

I have tried a few bolt .22s at the rifle club and I have to say the CZ452 was the best of the rifles I tried.
Doesn't mean I will buy that exact model, but certainly a rifle in that family will be a sure winner.

You might want to look at the Anschutz line of .22 rifles. They are the benchmark to which all others are judged these days...sorry savage, cz, marlin .

If you are wanting a great shooting rifle with awesome looks, have Cooper build you one to your specs.
