Who are you?

Gus, I just turned 34, chronic bachelor (I mean who would put up with the Tejon?), brother of THR member MPFreeman, ex-LEO, run my own shoppe as a tilecrawler in crim defense and admin law (including NFA dealers).

I'm pro-education, a confirmed gun camp junkie, and anti-bear. Motivating force in my life consists of three, soon to be four nephews, who must be trained. Oldest is 5 and I still know nothing. Have to get to it, soon will be the Time of Tio Tejon!

OT: Simpsons Quote

"Oh, no, the Pawnee are back. They probably want their souls back." Charles M. Burns, El Tejon role model.

LMAO!

I saw that last night and almost died when I heard it. It's so deliciously eeeeeviiiiiiiiilllll. :D

::checks Palm-Pilot for vital stats::

I'm 30, married, 2 kids ( girl: 11, boy: 8 ) (hers from a previous marriage, so I get to inculcate someone else's progeny with my right-thinking worldview).

I'm a Principal Engineer (Software) for a small-to-midsize beltway bandit.[0]

I have ::counts:: 6 computers in my office, largely because I don't have room to have more than 6.

I'm not just a geek at work; I'm one at home as well. 4 Linux servers (Mail, Web, Chat, and DNS) live in my laundry room. I have 2 DSLs to the house, a copper LAN and a wireless LAN, and lots of X10 remote-stuff so I don't have to get off the couch to turn lights on and off. :D

I drive a big black 4x4, and I wear black clothes pretty much exclusively[1], and I have a black Beretta 96, and a black Mossberg, and a black Win70 7mmRemMag, and a Black Rifle (RRA 20" A2 from a kit), and a black Savage in .22WMR, and a black Taurus PT92, and a black Desert Eagle .44 .

I live on 4 acres of woods in Manassas, Virginia, with my lady-wife and (sometimes -- depending on shared-custody schedules) the kids, and (always) our 6 cats[2].

I'm straight, but (as they say) not narrow, and occasionally shoot with the Northern Virginia Pink Pistols.

I'm pagan, elementalist, having passed through Christianity and come out the other side. (This shall not be taken as an excuse for someone to turn this into a religious thread. We all know how those turn out.)

[0] Which is hiring software engineers, BTW. If anyone is interested in working in the Northern Virginia area, PM me. We need people. Lots of them.
[1] Which is more a concession to practicality than a fashion statement; I'm not at my best in the morning, and if all my clothes are black, everything always matches. Always.
[2] Yes, yes, I know.

50. Wife and 5 kids.

Gastroenterologist. Columnist for America's Voices www.americasvoices.org
In debt to my eyeballs. 13 years Navy service before beginning civilan practice 9 years ago.

Live in a lovely little NH town on a big lake. Shoot whenever possible. Fewer guns than you might think, but all good ones. Handloader, fly tier, fly fisherman, guitarist, home brewer.

El Tejon's Simpson's quote reminds me of one of my lifetime goals: To have a home manor so large that I can say, "...release the hounds!"

40. Married for 20 years. Two kids, 13 and 11.

Made do with two guns for a long time, but in the last 4 years we've acquired 7 or 8 more.

35 years old. Married 5 years. 2 kids, 4 year old girl and 2 1/2 year old boy.
We have a mortgage, 2 car notes: a luxury car and an SUV. Private school tuition and wife's student loans(Yale and University of Chicago Law School).
We make good money but we have a lot of expenses as well. Currently have three guns which I've had for over ten years. Our next two purchases will probably be Glock 19 for me and a Springfield XD9 for the wife. We took our class, mailed off our applications, and are now waiting for our TX CHL's.

Name's Carl, and I'm 33.
Single, work sanitation/ machine operator/hilo at a food facility.
Drive 4 miles to work.
A nice car, a rusty jeep, and a bullet bike that I haven't ridden in two years, but I'm threatning to get a new one someday.
A dozen snakes, a dozen turtles.
No car payments, low rent payments, trying to limit myself to a gun every two months.
Major bills include car insurance every 6 months, rent, utilities, and a new computer every year. Oh yeah, and guns. Every 2 months.

46, separated, 2 daughters living with mom ( 15 & 16 ), still hanging on at Boeing ( run CNC mills ) drive '88 Buick LeSabre ( clunk clunk clunk ) :D

Okay...lets see 37, white male married with two grown kids and two grandkids. I love people's reaction to that one. I work as a techie and my wife is a supervisor for Sara Lee so we make fairly good money. Everything but the house and my truck is paid for so disposable income is easier to come by, of course buying the 11 year old granddaughter a PC took a chunk out of it. What free time is spent being the chief of the local rescue squad which means I don't have a lot of free time. If I could figure out a way of combining the two it would be a big time saver.

41 years old.

Retired - sold investment management company last year, riding out the non-compete clause.

Widowed - wife of 14 years passed two years ago; part of the reason I "retired" last year.

Hobbies: firearms (duh!), knives, motorcycles, cars, homebuilding, cooking, reading.

35,married for 5 yrs.,2 step kids.I'm a Pharmacy Technician at a Mental Hospital also part-time at a retail Pharmacy......wife is an interior designer(just started)...so money's tight......part-time check goes to shooting ....have 3 handguns,1 rifle ,1 shotgun....shoot IDPA and plink......

I'm a 21 y/o single computer engineering student, but I've taken most of the last year off co-oping as a programmer/tester for a large electric meter production facility. With no bills, this has allowed me to buy guns more or less to my heart's content during that time period. All I have left to do is get a nice AK, a P229 for CC, a P226ST for the range, get into reloading, buy some nice AR optics... :uhoh: Alright, forget it, its a never ending cycle. And, I've got to go back to school and graduate sometime, which means my life goes straight to hell starting Jan-May, then again from Aug-Dec, then again from Jan-May..... :banghead:

Wow, 7 pages.. I wonder if anyone is still reading these...

40, married almost 14 years, 2 boys, 1 GSD, wife's Dachshund (I won't be associated with the worthless beast), 4 cats (all but 1 adopted after being dumped by some rectum near our place), 1 Russian tortoise, and some fish.

Zen Buddhist, lawyer- mostly criminal defense, and I have the bad habit of caring more about my clients than about money, so I'm not getting rich at it. Gun money comes from small jobs on the side. I try to trade them in so I don't build up a bunch I don't have time to shoot. I also collect fountain pens, and go back & forth on where to spend any extra $$.

I'm a 37 year old software engineer working in Huntsville, AL. I'm married (2nd time) and have a 6 year old son and a 9 year old daughter by my first wife, and a 17 year old step son and a 20 year old step daughter.

I also have 2 grand children, courtesy of my 20 year old step daughter.
