Looking at a winchester model 94ae lever action in. 357 mag. Gun is in excellent shape only problem is owner removed the safety. Guess you would call it a crossbolt saftey seems to function like normal. Question is can it be replaced easily or should i pass. Gonna check online for the parts and cost involved. Or should i just leave it as is if i buy it.

Brownell's should have the parts, and I would certainly replace them if for no other reason then your liability of somebody has an accident with it. I do hate cross-bolt safetys on lever-guns with a passion though.
They aren't needed in the first place were it not for satisfying some lawyers concern for product libility.

But if it was me, I would look for a pistol caliber carbine like the Marlin 1894 for a .357 rather then a Winny 94.

The Winchester 94 is a 30-30 length action, and a lot of things had to be done to get it to work halfway right with the shorter revolver rounds.

The Marlin 1894, and Winchester 92 were both designed from the getgo for handgun length calibers.

Thank you for the advice and link. Have looked online removal looks very easy just have to order replacement parts. Was'nt looking for this rifle but it seems like a good deal for the money.

RC is absolutely right on this. A wise man would take his advice, and look for a Marlin. ;)
