"...with the gun when it went off..."

Back in my day you had to actually pull the trigger to kill someone with an unloaded gun. These newfangled gizmos are just making guns more dangerous every day.

So he jacked a round in the chamber, removed the mag, then someone grabbed the gun, pulled the trigger, and it just went off :what: Who would've thunk it!!??

Whoever pulled the trigger is clearly at fault as they defied common-sense gun safety laws.

why in God's name would you point a gun at someone you don't want to kill in the first place?

That's just so ignorant to me that I don't know what to say. some folks are just too stupid to be allowed around the general population....for everyone's safety.

Yeah, the whole loaded/unloaded thing doesn't matter in the least. What matters is that you don't point a gun at somebody and pull the trigger unless you want them to be dead! It always amazes me when these types of articles show up. The person will swear they thought "the gun was unloaded." Who cares?! You don't point a gun at somebody and pull the trigger! Even if you are CONVINCED the gun is unloaded. Why is that so hard to understand?!!

People are strange.

I got a lesson in gun safety the other day. I was over at my buddy's house and his wife asked to see my pistol (she knows I carry one). I said, hey, sure. I dropped the mag and handed it to her. Before I could react, she pointed it right at her husband and pulled the trigger-- CLICK. Heh. Crazy woman. Good thing I took one out of the chamber before I went over there on account of their kids...

Holey gamoley...

do you get to serve as a witness at the divorce proceedings?

If he's not divorcing her, then she's not the only crazy one...

Right on! They actually charged a MN LEO with attempted murder (or possibly felony assault, I forget which) after an incident in which he drew his weapon and dry fired it (he forgot that that the chamber was empty) at his enraged neighbor who had assaulted him with shovel. He ended up getting off with a self defense -defense, but he had to make the case that he was have been justified in shooting the guy.

You don't point a gun at somebody and pull the trigger!

My Dad taught me that when I was six, and added, unless you mean to kill them. Even at six, I got it. It amazes me that adults, even if not taught as children, can't figure this out on their own without shooting someone.

During a police interview, Walsh refused to speak and requested an attorney, police said. "He did make the spontaneous utterance that he was the one with the gun when it went off," a police investigator said in his report.

Guys he never said he did not mean to pull the trigger he just said he was the one with the gun in his posession, he did not claim innocence.

Wow. Did someone smack her?

Poining a gun at someone...

Unloaded that's Class A misdemeanor in Indiana. Loaded, it's a felony.
