If someone were to come out with a semi auto version of the Korobov tkb-022 with modernized parts and a slight redesign to use more modern materials on grips and sights and the like, chambered in the 5.56 mm NATO (STANAG mag), 7.62x39 mm (AK47 mag), and 5.45 mm (AK74 mag), would you consider purchasing it?

Sorry if the 5.45 & 7.62 use the same magazine, my knowledge of AKs is next to nothing.

Um..when you say clip you mean like..Paperclip? Or are you looking for Magazines?Or as the antigun lobby calls them "ammunition feeding devices":neener:

The ak 47 and 74 use diff mags.:D
And the answer is..No .No i would not buy it as it makes for a FUGLY bullpup (even if you don't like bullpups, which I do, this is ugly). Not even if it was free would I have one. If you want an Ak bullpup try looking at http://www.cbrps.com/Products.html. Just an example of what I think is a decent looking Ak bullpup.

If I wanted a 5.56 NATO bullpup rifle I'd be looking at the new US made Steyr AUG/A3 SA USA, or an FN FS2000. If IMI sets up US production of a semi-auto Tavor (as was claimed at this year's SHOT show), that would also be interesting. I wouldn't be terribly interested in a remake of a design the Russians haven't messed with since the 1960s if I wanted a 7.62x39 or 5.45x39 bullpup. There are already AK bullpup conversion stocks on the market, and one that was done really well would probably sell pretty well if it was priced right.

ETA: I stand corrected, it looks like Center Balanced Systems has such an AK conversion stock.
