Does anyone know of a manufactor that sells a thirty round magazine for the Springfield XD Service or Tactical model??????

I have seen a high cap magazine for the Xd-9 on Cheaperthandirt.com

Check them out, but im not sure of the manufacturer.

Promag lists a 20 rounder for both .40 and 9mm. You might try the .40 magazine, for the extra capacity. Your mileage may vary, of course, with Promag.

Me, I'd pass until and unless there's an XD carbine to use it with. I think a pistol with the extended magazine would just be too cumbersome.

Reason Why I Ask....

the reason I ask is because I'd like to get a carbon 15 chamber in 9mm, but everyone says I should just get a pistol with an extended magazine. Except for Glock I don't know of any other 9mm pistols which will accept an extended mag.

I am looking at this pistol and wondering if any one knows anything about them. If they are good or junk. I like the fact that it is chamber in 9mm since 223 ammo is getting so expensive and hard to find. I just don't know about this model in the carbon form. I heard from other people that the carbon pistol 223 has lot's of issues, but wanted to know about the 9mm since there isn't any gas system just the standard blow back action.

Here's the question:

1. Is the Bushmaster Carbon 15 9MM Pistol anygood and should I get it??

2. The Bushmaster Carbon 15 9MM Pistol has too many problems do not get it.

3. Don't waste your time get the Kel-Tec PLR-16

Please help me out if you are able.

If I can sort out what you're trying to do.

If they are good or junk.

The XD? Good, but really doesn't have much to do with shooting an AR.

That? What's it for? It looks like a range toy -- does it have any practical use? I think I'd rather have a more conventional pistol (like the XD).

Can you imagine a defensive shooting with one of those? The lawyers would absolutely tear you a-part.

Answer

I guess after 44 different kinds of pistols I'm running out of things to get. (If you can imagen that) :scrutiny:

I guess I just wanted a fun range gun and a better home defense weapon. The availiability of the PLR 16 with my dealer has been on back order for 6 months and I'm tired of waiting. Besides, I am concerned about over penatrating and the ammo cost and availiability of 223.

That being said is the reason why I was looking at the Carbon 15 in 9mm. Seems like it would be a nice HD/range gun, but like others have said it's nothing more than a large pistol. :what:

So, this is my conflict, buy the XD Tactical or the Carbon 15 or wait for the PLR 16. I can't make up my mind.:banghead:

Don’t buy a PLR-16. They are nothing but a fun gun and all your friends will shoot-up your ammo. Earlier this week we had a 13yo, 82lb. first-time-gun-in-hand-girl in our range party. Ever time it was her turn to shoot, she wanted the PLR and another 30 round mag :)

Arredondo Extended Base Pad for XD

Added to a standard 16rd 9mm mag, capacity increases to 21rds. Functions 100%. In combination with an extended and ported EFK Dragonfire barrel and a Glock light on the rail, all on a Tactical XD-9 it looks REALLY cool.

Thank you

gazpacho & evan price

Thank you for the sites.

gazpacho your site is what I really wanted thank you so much, I've got lost and in trouble in that site. I think I am going to add a third XD to my collection.

I have a pro-mag 20 rd for my xd .40 . It doesn't feed well. I'm hoping it will break in after a few more trips to the range.:banghead:

I've got (2) of the pro-mag 20 round magazines for my XD-40, they both function 100%, have not had any problems with them. For the $20 pricetag, I'm in.:D
