You don't have to be a tough guy to be a potential gunfighter.
Ever been in combat? Lots of guys wet themselves but while they are doing so they are taking incoming and giving right back. Would they be considered gunfighters even if they wet themselves?
How about the person who goes in harms way knowing that if anything happens it will likely come down to gun play. If one is trained as a gunfighter or trains to fight with a gun [not on a range in competition ] but in real life scenarios where you live or die based on your skills and cool head, you are in a classical sense a gunfighter.
Oh ya, one does have to be a little nuts probably to go in harms way on purpose. It's not for the weak of heart. Sheeple are not usually found in that profession. Nuts to me in this scenario/question denotes mindset to play the game in the first place knowing one day there is a bullet with your name on it.
