Tagua holsters

I tried one, it was an IWB and the spring clip was very poor in comparison to others I have.
The leather looked plenty stout and of good quality. I may try a belt holster sometime.

I got an IWB for my XD-S. Holds securely, seems to be good quality leather. My only gripe is that it stows lower than other brands. In other words, the grip is actually at or slightly below my belt line. I use it when I need deeper concealment, but usually opt for something that rides higher.

I have had one for a Colt Cobra for around five years and am not too happy with the way its getting flimsy. I never put substances on it that will cause this. I may it soak it in water but will read up on this, maybe dumb idea.

I have a yaqui slide. It worked fine and I carried a 1911 defender in it.
My gripe was that I practically had to take my pants off to re-holster.

Used one for a while but it eventually got to be too soft for my tastes.

I have seen a few that looked 'OK' at first, but aged/wore (softened up, lost their shape) awfully quickly.

I've got one, ordered for my SR9c. Holster that arrived was for full size. Wrote Tagua several times about it, never got a reply.

The metal clip that came with it was worthless. I replaced it with one from a nylon holster and it works fine now. Leather is holding up well. It carries ok, but would be better if it were short to match the gun barrel.

Yes I have 2 of these holsters. I have used them for 3 years. They are better than most other economically priced holsters.

I've gotta agree, I have a couple that I use regularly and they work great. I took the clips off of mine as soon as i purchased them as I really don't like inside the pants holsters much, and just use them as belt holsters. They seem designed to wear every conceivable way except upside down.

I have an older hybrid Tagua holster for an M&P and it's pure garbage. The leather tears like cardboard and the "kydex" is paper thin, plus the design allows the accessory rail to catch on the lip of the kydex locking the gun into the holster as you draw. I tried it a few times and it pulled the entire contraption right out of my pants. Hopefully they have improved their designs.

I have to admit, I'm just a bit of a holster snob. There's just too much chance of failure, lack of retention, or accelerated wear, to risk saving a few bucks.

Really, REALLY good holsters can be found for >$100, so it's pretty easy to buy the quality models, especially since they'll last nearly forever.

I bought one for my PT145, but didn't like the way it rode and the stiffness. it's sitting in my holster drawer. I've found a couple nice kydex holsters for a G26 and an XD that fit it perfectly and are much more comfortable both to wear and draw from.

When I bought my SR9c there weren't many holsters out for it at the time. I ended up with a Bianchi holster called the Minimalist. Designed to fit a lot of medium frame size guns it works great with my Ruger.

These yaqui type minimal holsters a very versatile.
IWB, OWB, cross draw, sob, appendix, left hand, right hand, boot, vest pocket...
...will fit about any gun too.
