I love the DW 15, i bought a 4-barrel vh pistol pac set years ago and recently bought a nice frame to go with a DWS 3" vh shroud I bought. I wish I could find the cash for a stainless 741 in .41...

How is the DA/SA trigger on it?

Sounds like one of those vintage gems that come around once in a blue moon, in this case revolver Valhalla. And back in the day they were produced, many would have sneered "Well it ain't no Smith and Wesson", or "Colt" etc.

Here's one for you. Just came back from Dan Wesson. New hammer, springs and a 0.004 head space shim.

One of the guns I should have bought was a similar Dan Wesson.

What do you think of the forward position of the cylinder latch?

A nearby pawnshop had one with an 8" barrel at a similar price. I could never decide whether that was a plus or a minus.

I had an old 15 with the pork chop barrel and exposed barrel nut. For shooting at the range, the forward latch never bothered me. Got used to it pretty quick.

Forgive me if this is staying too far off topic, but what's the general consensus on the new DW's post CZ?

I've only dealt with the repair end. The two levels, that I dealt with, were all professional. I needed a new hammer, wouldn't cock in single action. Told them to replace all springs on the 741 and adjust the SA trigger pull to 3lbs. I'm a Happy Camper! The cost was $185.95.

I have a recent 715 and I like it a lot. I have 4 bbls for it and that gives a lot of versatility.

My blued DW is almost as pretty as the OP's. A little more wear, but still looks great. As far as the forward latch goes, IMHO, that's where it should be. I've owned both DW and S&W (and clones) and the DW latch is the one for me.

How would you compare the double action trigger to a classic S&W K Frame trigger? better or worse?

I really like that smooth grip in the first picture. Do you know who makes it?
