Where should one start? if the goal is proper fitting and some time with a shooting coach, etc for the clay sports and upland wingshooting?

I'm checking into Fieldsports ltd in Traverse City Michigan. Would prefer to stay within driving distance in Midwest.
Any other names rise to the top that should be considered?
Thanks!

Check into some of the magazines that are put out by NSSA, NSCA, ATA. Skeet, sporting and trap , usually have adds for gun fitting, and coaches and clinics. Find one of the bigger shotgun clubs in Michigan and see if some of the members can recommend anyone.

I'm in NW Illinois. Not looking for specifically trap but more sporting clays and wing shooting. I would like to get dialed in with stock fit and then spend some time getting some coaching so I never miss another bird or target again!
Just kidding about never missing again...

If you were local I could help you start. I am a certified instructor but for beginners. I am not a coach for competitive shooting. But I do think that properly learning and practicing the basics is the foundation of good shooting. NRA and others have videos that will tell you what you need to know but a good coach is really valuable. Good luck. The biggest problem for coaches are people that think they know what they are doing or have ingrained bad habits.

If you find a fitter in Illinois, please let me know as I am looking for one as well.
