Got this caveat on another website. Did a web search on "endshake" but found little. Anyone care to elaborate?
30 Carbine Blackhawks are notorious for excessive endshake, which is the amount of fore and aft cylinder movement. To test, find the thickest blade of a gap gauge that will fit between the cylinder front face and the rear of the barrel. Hold the cylinder fully forward for the first measurement then hold the cylinder to the rear for the second measurement. Endshake is the difference in these two measurements. .002" to .005" of endshake is acceptable.
