New Auto Breech Lock Pro

Just an FYI, I am waiting to do a large batch of 9mm for league shooting so I wanted to know if I could expect to get this fairly soon or not. I called Lee to see if they are still expecting to ship these this week and they said they are still waiting for the packaging for these so they will not be shipping this week.

I'm guessing it has something to do with holding the index rod in place. Perhaps the regular short bushings don't have the right edge to do that?

Talked to Titan Reloading today (Monday) to see when they will have one set up in their showroom. He asked that I check back on Friday.
FWIW the staff at Titan are great to deal with.

The story I got was the boxes were received but subsequently rejected at incoming inspection because instead of saying " Auto Breech Lock Pro" it read "Classic Auto Breech Lock Pro".

It was suggested that they supply stickers with the correct product ID to place over the incorrect data however QC put the kabosh on that one. So RTV for scrap/replace (ISO and ITAR considerations).

Don't know if any of this is true.

^^^Thank you, this is actually good news! Leaves room for the soon to come: Lee Classic Cast Auto Breech Lock Pro! (LCCABLP).

Hummm maybe I should copywrite that name.

I got mine yesterday, was waiting on the front porch when I got home. Set it up in 5 minutes, and was able to get my first 5,000 rounds out in about an hour last night.

Just kidding!!! :rofl::rofl::rofl::neener::neener::neener:

(Don't you hate idiots like me???)

Ditto!!.... I've spent 5 evenings just prepping 300 rounds of LC .762 brass....and it was already blinged!.......and I'm so wore out I'm ready to take a month break....or more. Except that in another week I'll have the new green press I ordered, and I wanted to try loading this stuff on. it..........unfortunately, I still have to trim most of it. It's pretty, the pockets are swaged, and uniformed and at least trimming will be done on a 3-way. Yeah I bit off a lot......maybe I'll put my brain back in and load a little .40 S&W when it comes in, instead!;)

5000 rounds ..... dead giveaway, yup, fantasy.....and April Fools is 6 days past.....what's up with that!!!!

Sounds like you guys will soon be showing off the Lee.....I'm on pins and needles! What say we start a new thread when the show and tell starts?

I means this thread is 15 pages and the curtain ain't up yet!!

You had me until the 5000 rounds part

5000 rounds ..... dead giveaway, yup, fantasy.....and April Fools is 6 days past.....what's up with that!!!!

I saw the Auto Breech Lock press do 1800 rounds in an hour with a full caliber change in a Stormy Daniels video...

Hehe... Hey, I am faster with the crank than an M7 on a 1050! I could easily crank our 5,000 an hour on this thing!!! :neener:

Actually, I can get 1,000 per hour on my XL650 as long as everything is setup and ready to go and I work at it diligently. I don't like to really push myself however, although I used to set rounds limits to see how many I could crank out. I'd rather just go slow and steady and figure they will be done when they're done.

So it is Saturday, and still no Auto Breech Lock Pro's in the wild. COME ON LEE!!! We're waiting!!! :cuss:

Probably in retrospect it was a mistake for them to make all of the pre-release announcements. A few rumors would have been better and the whole releasing the "declassified" prints is just plain childish. Introducing a new consumer product without really testing it is never a good idea and while I'm sure whatever bugs develop will in time be resolved. But very obviously there are some unexpected manufacturing hic-ups that need to be fixed.

I have to say that I'm looking forward to seeing bench pictures of this contraption with case and bullet feeders, powder measure and pez-dispenser. Should be quite a sight!
