...shorten the firing pin channel liner on a Glock 40 at the local GSSF match. There was a slight narrowing of the firing pin channel at the very front and with a stock length channel liner installed it was acting as a partial obstruction of firing pin channel and causing misfires. I cut between an 8th and a 16th of an inch off the back end of the plastic part using my SpyderCo Worker. The plastic liner was very thin and hard, but the blade was sharp enough that it cut cleanly without causing the plastic to crack.
The match armorer installed the part and the gun testfired with no issues.
