.357 Magnum is my favourite revolver cartridge. I've owned many over the years but I'm now down to these two.

I think this model would have been better suited with fixed sights but I still like this chunky little beast. I've got VZ grips on it—the first time I've tried them on a revolver. They fit my hand great and feel awesome but full magnum rounds pack a punch!

This was the first non-S&W revolver I'd ever bought. I liked it more than I thought I would—the grips are without a doubt the best factory grips I've ever tried on a revolver (and better than the myriad of Pachmayrs and Hogues I've tried too) and the trigger pull, while not as refined as the S&W trigger, is very usable. I like its businesslike appeal!

Having seen Walkalong's Dan Wesson I yielded to wistful homage to one I sold in the early 80's, forgot that I had scanned this slide. The buyer wanted to shoot it so I let him shoot it into the bin for alternator core returns at the car parts store where he worked. It was late at night right before closing, we yelled up front if there were any customers in the store, the reply was negative therefore......... further evidence of youthful stupidity.

My favorite cartridge is a .357 magnum. My favorite gun is a 6" Dan Wesson. I'm happy to see others who also appreciate the Dan Wesson revolvers as I think they are one of the best designed revolvers ever produced.

My Dad had a S&W model 65 as a kid and I loved it and the big boom when shooting it so I am very partial to .357's and have a few:
S&W Model 13
S&W Model 19
S&W Model 28
S&W Model 65
S&W Model 686
Ruger GP100
Ruger GP101
Colt Trooper MK III
Colt Lawman
Colt King Cobra

NIGHTLORD40K

Pretty sure it was an L frame. Saw an early production one at a gun show and thought that was one fine looking .357 Magnum!
