First let me say I am not good at this but here goes anyway.
I hadn't heard from Mark in a while and we traded PMs fairly often and PIFs back and forth as well.
I sent a PM the other day and Staff informed me that his wife had replied to the email generated by my PM that he had passed away, so I wanted to let THR Members know.

On some quick research it appears he died August 16th 2018. He was 65.
I always enjoyed his posts and PMs, and sending him a PIF always seemed to get me more than I sent, I always felt like I was behind. I think this reflects the kind of person he was.

I always hoped when I retired I could make a trip to North Dakota and actually meet him in person, sadly that will never happen.

Since I'm Dudedog I always joked about hows my favorite dog in PMs.
We traded reloading info, talked about the weather, the loss of our pets and other things.

I just wanted to let everybody know, and say I will miss him.
My condolences to his family and friends.

From Jell-Dog

Dudedog,
Thank you for your offer!:D
You beat me to ordering them!:banghead:
Yes, I will take you up on that, I don't need a whole bunch, send what you can spare, I'll send you a list of what I have on hand to trade.
(Secret agent dogs gotta watch each other's bullet stashs:D)

This one gave me a little chuckle and made me smile, back when it was first posted, it still does now just a bit sadder smile.

Sad! :(

TBH I always thought you guys were related or something because of the dog screen names. I always got a kick out of his avatar.

Even though I’ve only been here a short time I’ve begun to feel like a part of a special family. It is sad to hear that one of the family has now gone and leaves a vacant spot in the heart but not in the many grand memories you all have that will always remain.

Blessings of peace to his family and you all.

Jell-dog was one of the good folks that makes THR what it is. We have lost great wit, wisdom, love for the hobby, and a guy who loved to pass on what he was blessed with. 65 is far too young to go. My prayers are with his friends, family, and those here who had developed a special bond that only a forum can facilitate. Jell-dog will certainly be missed.

Dudedog, that is sad news.
Thanks for passing it on to us. Prayers for his with and family.

Dang really sorry to hear this. I enjoyed working together with him when I made him some custom seating die stems. A real class guy.

Did not know he was sick. Dang......too bad we don't get to know each other in person......us being birds of a feather....like minds and that. Seems wrong somehow. RIP Jell-Dog.....see you in a few on the other side. I hear they have progressives perfected over there, and you don't have to use ear muffs. Can't wait.

I wish his family well during the temporary separation. Take comfort in that, it's true. Families are Forever.

This is very sad news indeed.

Mark (Jell-Dog) has always been very courteous and helpful to me. I have exchanged some load data and PIF's with him, and always received more in return from him.

Dudedog shared a response from Jell-Dog, so I thought it would be fitting to also share a response highlighting Mark's generosity. He always wanted to reciprocate with interest.

Charl,
You are very welcome:D

Don't tempt me, the USPS makes BIGGER BOXES:evil:

RIP Jell-Dog, you will be missed.

My condolences to his family. Always wondered when I saw the two "dogs" posting on the same thread if they were related someway...
