These are the wants:
1. Coonan Classic
2. RPR in 6.5 Creed
3. S&W 625
4. S&W 629
5. Ruger Mark IV Target

Technically, I "need" some sort of sporting shotgun, I own a 18" next-to-the-bed 870, but I've never been a shotgun guy. In actuality, I'm very pleased with my current "collection" as I have all my bases covered. I tend to spend my money on ammo and reloading these days.

-Robb

A McWhorton custom in .308 with NF glass. I told my wife of my wishes and she said, “What!” “How much????” I then knew that I would have to change my wish list.

CZ455 Trainer
Sig P365
Blaser K95 with a couple of different barrels (7mm-08 and something else I haven't decided upon)
Blaser R8 or R93 with extra barrels in a 264 WM and 300 WM
Beretta SO series with a set of shotgun barrels and a set of 6.5x55 barrels
Bespoke double rifle in 7x57

For handguns, I need a 9mm compact. I'm thinking something hammer fired with a safety that allows it to be carried cocked and locked. Right now I ping-pong back and forth between the CZ P-01, the FNX-9, and the SIG P226 Legio SAO. One of those will be my next handgun. Then I will be in the market for a 4 to 6 inch barreled .44 Magnum revolver, probably a S&W M629 but possibly a Ruger Redhawk.

For long guns, I want a 7.62mm magazine fed semi-auto. Right now I really like the looks of that JRA M14 Paratrooper. Then I will probably have some work done on the M1 Garand I inherited from the grandpa. Finally, I suppose I should have a shotgun, and I don't right now, so I am thinking either Mossberg 590A1 SPX, but might end up going with some model of the 930 instead.

Right this instant I am thinking SIG P226 Legion SAO, JRA M14 Paratrooper, S&W M629, M1 Garand, 590A1 SPX.

Always looking for pre war Colts.

44 magnum Ruger Vaquero, 5.5 inch, blue and case hardened.

32-20 Colt I can make into a snubby. Because reasons.

Astra 600 9mm no good reason, just think they are neat.

Building an AR for my brother. Lower complete, custom comp on the way from NZ.

Completing a 9mm AR pistol for me.

Sig P210, M49
Legion P229 SAO
S&W Model 41
S&W M&P, Victory, 1905, etc, 4” barrel
Colt 654 clone

Ruger SP 101 .357 in either a 3 or 4" barrel.
Rossi lever action carbine, same caliber.
CZ 527 in 7.62x39.
Ruger SR22 to replace my craptastic Walther P22.
Midland .410 backpacker.

I would love to get that CZ someday, it would complement my AR47 well.

And in regards to your Walther P22, I’m sorry that you bought that as they have horrible reviews. I like Walther centrrfires made at the Ulm plant as they are great firearms so my research led me to the Walther PPQ .22 which is made alongside the good Walthers at the Ulm plant and is a totally different animal than the P22.

So if you like Walther look into the PPQ .22 as mine has been great with no hickups other than sometimes my finger placement can ride the slide preventing it from locking back on the final round of the magazine. But my wife and I just put nearly 200 rounds through mine last night at the range. I bought the threaded version and it has been problem free both suppressed and unsupressed after the first 50 rounds from the factory. The first 50 rounds or so it had a few failure to load but after that the everything seemed to settle in nicely and it has been problem free.

But my brother has the SR22 and like most all Ruger rimfires it runs great and is accurate as well.

My list is boring:

1. P99/PPQ M1 in 9mm. Or try a conversion barrel.
2. NAA Sidewinder/Pug/22magnum with .22LR conversion cylinder ideally.
3. PPQ 45
4. 12ga pump of some sort. Likely a Maverick 88
5. Whatever gun my wife decides she wants to try next.

My short list keeps getting shorter all the time, if I see it and the price is right, I usually buy it, but here is the list I presently have.

1.) Ruger No.1 International in either .243, .270, 30-06, even .223 if the price is right.
2.) Military M-14 all original, like I had in the USMC (Without the selector of course).

My short list would be:

1. A small 9mm autoloader or a .38 special revolver for the wife (need to head to the range and have her try some options out.)
2. CZ or Ruger in 7.62x39
3. Glock 19 with a 17 length slide (would be my first Glock however I have shot them)
4. Trade out my Ruger 22/45 for a Ruger mark IV
5. M1 Garand in .308

You're not going to be able to get a military M-14. If it has the hole for the selector it's classified as a machine gun. AFAIK all the military receivers have the hole.

Since I need a Trap gun, all 5 on my current list are.
(In order of preference)
1. Ljutic Mono-gun. I have always wanted one ever since I shot one 35 years ago.
2. Browning 725 Golden Clays. Only second to the Superposed in O/U's, IMHO, and a better Trap gun.
3. Tri-Star TT-15 DT Combo. Lot of gun for the money.
4. Browning BT-99 AR. I shoot BT-99's well, and I'm looking for a higher rib.
5. 1100 Competition Snythetic. No high rib, but a lot of features for the money, I know 1100's inside out, and I can put an add-a-rib on it.

Well, I just moved the big one off the list when I got the M14. That means the list won't move for at least a couple months. But, here it is:
-Ruger American Ranch in 7.62x39. There are too many folks on here showing how well they shoot.
-M1903A3. I just haven't had money and opportunity at the same time. And the peep on an older 1903 is just too small for these eyes.
-An AR-10 in 45 Raptor. I have no good reason for this. I am a big boy, I like big toys.
-The Taurus 692 Convertible 9MM/357. I like 9mm revolvers. It's a sickness. They need to stop talking about them and release them.

Ones that I will buy if I get the opportunity and the price is right:
-A SMLE, I have darn near all the WWII Bolt Milsurps, but not one of these.
-Arisaka, for the same reason as the SMLE. I don't actively pursue these since I reload too many things already.

Now that I've been retired 2.5 yrs. I find my self gravitating back toward 22 rimfires. My bases are covered when it comes to centerfire rifles & handguns. My rimfire short list included a .22 lever gun because I've always wanted a Winchester 9422 like the one a buddy had years ago and I shot it quite often. Then this past week a local place had the Henry base model 22 lever guns on sale. Long story short....... I now own one. Only had it out once so far but I think I'm gonna be real happy with it.

I have been bugged all week. Have almost pulled the trigger on a Smith and Wesson 637 Performance center on sale all week. I have the LCR9mm and love that gun, and just wondering if I really need another snubbie. Also is the performance center worth the cost of the standard. So many choices. Maybe even a Ruger SP01 in 9mm/
And I really want another Nano. The gun get at the range so often and i like it so much, to me it is worth having two.

Also I would love a Kahr Mk9
Beretta PX4 storm Compact
Henry single shot rifle.

Check out the "Veterans Model" from James River Armory, available through Classic Arms. It's as close as you can get to a new-production military M14. Excellent rifle!
