I have one 50 cal can of it. It's almost on par with CCI SV in all my guns, but more available.Bfh_auto
Congrats on the fine shooting by the Missus! Looks like her RR likes Aguila SV too! Time to start stocking up on it!
Sadly, no. The front sight is mild steel and 2 taps of a little brass hammer adjusted it.Does it have adjustable sights? That pistol is shooting dead on, sights just need to go right a tad...
What is the deal with bird's head grips? I've never held one. Let alone fired them.I like the RR. I came close to buying a birdshead model last year at my lgs. I may eventually get one, but gun money is scarce and I have other priorties at the moment.
I glad you all got a good one and are enjoying it!
An excellent question. But, where did anyone criticize the OP?

No. It had a coupon for getting one for 29 dollars if I remember correctly. The mag ammo is so cost prohibitive that I'm torn on it.Looks like you got a shooter. Glad your wife likes to shoot. Did yours come with a 22 mag cylinder too? I love shooting 22 mag rounds. Feels like you really fired a gun.

Sounds like you jumped on the same type of sale she found. The 2 I just bought the grandkids came with the coupon for the mag cylinders too. I ordered them and they were delivered within a few days. It was a lot cheaper to order them separately than buy the gun with both cylinders. I'm into them for $142 each with both cylinders.
Gunbroker has all kinds. If you can call a handgun cute, the bird's head 22 is it.Get the mag cylinder. It opens up the guns capability immensely. I will not buy one that doesn’t have the mag cylinder, and I am currently on the search for a 3” birdshead that doesn’t have pink grips. Yes I know I can buy grips very cheaply but I would rather just start out with something decent. Now, to decide which way to run first, HRR or Keystone Chipmunk pistol??? I’m leaning toward chipmunk since I have a single six but I still feel the overwhelming urge to buy that HRR. I have had a few HRR and they are good guns. People fuss about the safety, personally, I like it.
Not cost effective when they pop up. You can buy a whole birdshead gun for $140ish so why pay 60-80 bucks for a grip frame? The shorter barrels are really nice on the BH guns too, but look funny (to me at least) on plow handle guns.Gunbroker has all kinds. If you can call a handgun cute, the bird's head 22 is it.
Wonder if you can get just the grip frame.

The grips shape makes the overall length of the gun shorter and the heel of the grip is rounded and smooth, so no edges poking into you or sticking out making the printing more obvious. Shooting wise, they feel great with lower power rounds like .22 and .32. I've yet to try BH grips with magnum calibers, so idk how it feels with stouter recoil.I think it's mainly appearance. However, at least for me, they are very comfortable to shoot. I used to have an old style Birdshead Vaquero that was enjoyable to shoot, even with magnum level loads ( I miss that gun, I wish I didnt have to sell it)
That makes sense. The grips shape makes the overall length of the gun shorter and the heel of the grip is rounded and smooth, so no edges poking into you or sticking out making the printing more obvious. Also, cocking the hammer feels easier with a BH grip, I find, probably because the grip sits deeper in the hand due to the shape.
About the only negative I can think of is with longer barrels I would think the BH grip would feel uncomfortable due to the extra weight at the end of the gun.
