It might seem like an unreasonable thing to do but I tested several ammo types today with my Heritage 22. CCI SV, Aguila HV, Norma Tac Target, Thunderbolt, and some Short HV and Short CBs. I only tested at 5 yards standing but was surprised by how well it shot Thunderbolt. It shot the Short ammo pretty well too.

As for adjustment, were I to need to adjust the sights, files seem to be the only way for elevation. How can one adjust windage, if it’s even possible. Most iron sights need a slight left bias for me, rifles and pistols.

In reality this pistol shoots so many ammo types, I’m reluctant to zero for just one. I have the 22 mag cylinder as well, but haven’t bought any yet. If I happen to find an ammo that is so good I want to exclusively use it, is there a way to zero these sights that doesn’t involve files?

About the only choice you have for windage adjustment is to gently bend the front sight blade to one side or the other.
Most of my SAs shoot close enough to POA that I don't worry about it.

Just me- if you're shooting it at
5 yards/ 15 feet, sight adjustment
or sights in general are a non-issue
I have an old Arminus 22lr revolver
that doesn't even have a front sight
( removed by a previous owner at
some point in time) and I can hit
cold drink cans at 15 feet without
difficulty
Find what groups the best from a
rest and use that exclusively

I tried a few 22 mag rounds before giving the rest of the box to my brother. From my recollection they generally grouped better than 22 long rifle ammo. Part of the appeal is this pistol will shoot basically any 22 rimfire ammo. I’m also not going to limit it to sights optional distances. I just wanted ti know if I could adjust these sights if I did find a magical load or if I generally find everything shoots a little off in the same direction. So far everything shoots a little low at 5 yards, but that’s to be expected. If everything shoots low at 10 or 15 then some adjustments might be necessary. Windage wise it’s pretty well centered but at longer distances it might pull slightly left consistently enough I’d consider some sort of adjustment.
