It might seem like an unreasonable thing to do but I tested several ammo types today with my Heritage 22. CCI SV, Aguila HV, Norma Tac Target, Thunderbolt, and some Short HV and Short CBs. I only tested at 5 yards standing but was surprised by how well it shot Thunderbolt. It shot the Short ammo pretty well too.
As for adjustment, were I to need to adjust the sights, files seem to be the only way for elevation. How can one adjust windage, if it’s even possible. Most iron sights need a slight left bias for me, rifles and pistols.
In reality this pistol shoots so many ammo types, I’m reluctant to zero for just one. I have the 22 mag cylinder as well, but haven’t bought any yet. If I happen to find an ammo that is so good I want to exclusively use it, is there a way to zero these sights that doesn’t involve files?
