The LGS that I frequented closed its doors. The costs involved to comply with Illinois' new gun licensing law was too extreme for them to continue doing business. They have moved across the state line to Indiana and I wish them the very best.
They not only sold firearms and ammo but sold many firearm related articles and had a great selection of reloading supplies. I am really gone to that.
I don't know how politicians can live with themselves knowing they run honest and hard working people out of business.
Black AR style rifles have really never been a favorite of mine and I don't own any (carried one for 6 years in the army). Now the Chicago politicians are banding together to pass legislation to prohibit ownership of AR style rifles, so that makes me want to own one. My dilemma is; do I buy one from my dealer that moved his business to Indiana or do I buy one from one of the dealers that is still trying to buck the system and stay in Illinois.
