Bases are the same as the Remington 700/Howa 1500/Weatherby Vanguard, at least in 2 piece sets. I can't say for sure on a 1 piece.
Thanks ! Very helpful.

$300 for a barrelled action in 375 sounds great! With the savings, I'd invest more in the stock. The difference in recoil control in shooting my 375s is night/day, given the correct stock. The McMillan hunter's edge is the lightest I'd go (and I'd put in cross-braces): https://mcmillanusa.com/mcmillan-rifle-stocks/ultralight-stocks-hunters-edge/
After trying several stocks, my favorite for 375HH is D'Arcy Echol's Legend (designed by D'Arcy, but made by McMillan) but good luck finding one. The McMillan hunter comes close.
I'm no rifle guru. Not even close, but I've never seen that before. Looks good.Accriglass embedded with #9 shot

I've done it before, it's a good option for adding weight or changing the balance of a rifle. Works fine on wood stocks as well, simply bore a couple holes and add epoxy and shot.Me neither. Bought a glass bedding kit several years ago and then never used it. The instructions were me-proof, and I just added shot. We'll see how it goes...
I dig it!l very rough and tumble ready, set up like that. So, the Accriglass shot mix in the buttstock cured and it feels good. Put a Bushnell 1-4x24 that I had to hand as a short term solution. Will replace with something in the 3-9 range but I have to say, I like the small scope looks.

I'm not sure apologies are needed, but I am noticing the trend to blame you for stuff. Can I blame you for the 454 casull SBH I want to buy at the gun store?uhhhhh....sorry?
Im really liking that scope.
only if you take a bunch of pictures.......I'm not sure apologies are needed, but I am noticing the trend to blame you for stuff. Can I blame you for the 454 casull SBH I want to buy at the gun store?
I Blame @horsey300, for stuff like this all the time.....Yes blame it all on loonwulf lol. I did need a 375 tho I don't have anything between 8mm and 458.
I’m impressed with my Ruger M77 Hawkeye African .375Ruger every time I shoot it. It truly is “one rifle for the world”.
I bought it used. According to gun shop talk, local MD took it to Africa and took an assortment of plains game to include a Cape buffalo.
My favorite load is a thrill to shoot. VERY accurate, and not bad recoiling. It’s the recently re-introduced Hornady 225gr PtdSpt over 77.0gr of Reloader15. Hornady cases, Federal 215 primers. Runs about 2,800fps.
When I got the rifle, I made the rounds of the LGS, and found an astonishing assortment of bullets for pennies on the dollar. I now have essentially a lifetime supply of bullets.
Recoil isn’t as bad as my .300RUM. I shortened the stock and added a Pachmayer Old English brown Decellerator pad. It looks like it “grew” there. Recoil is about like a 12ga shotgun with duck loads.
For a rural Alaskan resident, the Mossberg sounds like a great choice.
