Ever since I went to a gun show in Florida in February and was looking at semi-autos with my wife...we viewed the various offerings from Kimber and Sig Saur, etc...a G43X looked deep into my eyes winked at me. I had no intention of ever considering a semi-auto for myself, but when I picked her up and held her I became instantly enamored by the vixens smile and curves. I've been a wheel gun man forever (I own several), but now I'm about to venture into the world of semi-autos and have decided it's going to be a Glock. I've held the comparable Sig's, Kimber's, Smiths and others, but that G43X feels so right when it snuggles in my hand. So when I get back to Michigan I'm going to acquire one.

The 43x did the same thing to me about a year ago. Great and reliable gun. It started my Glock buying spree and I wouldn’t carry anything else. Welcome to the dark side. :)

Although I had a brief flirtation with the 19X, I've now found that the 43X is the only Glock that makes sense for me (in terms of feel, how it points, shoots and ease of carry). So for those of you that think I am a card-carrying Glock-hater, I say bah. Note: when I can get back to serious personal range time, I plan a comparison shoot, 43X vs. SIG P-365. I think it'll be fun; they're both cool little pistols.

Revolver mit happy switch. ;)

The 43x/48 grip is really nice - similar in the hand to the Kahr. I met mine (48) in a small LGS next to a Kahr P40. Better deal :)

I had a 43X, really like the grip on it, which is the same length as a 19/23 but thinner. My issue was that I didn't really know how to carry it, I wanted to pocket it but the grip is too long for that and I ended up with the mindset that carrying a 26/27 is easier in ways (shorter grip) plus can accept the larger magazines. While it's just a 380, the G42 is an absolute gem of a small gun and shoots like a much bigger gun, but it's small.

I’m a decidedly revolver fan. My wife’s g42 hit me hard when she bought it, and when I saw a 43x in the case a year ago I started talking myself down. When I have mad money I keep steering towards antiques.

First time I picked up a 43X I knew it was my next/last carry gun. Very comfortable in a strong-side IWB, and only a lil' bit heavier with my Shield 15 rounder. Gotta get another one of those. Only 2 little mods.......narrow strips of grip tape on the front and back straps, and smoothing out the bottom/front corner of the mag release button (added comfort for a lefty).

I shot one in Oregon. I should have bought one before moving to California. I shot the G43, the 43X and the G48. I liked each one but I didn’t buy any of them and then I moved.

I think the 43X is a great choice.

I haven't shot a 43x, but I have shot a 43 and a 48. Didn't love either one of those. That said, I have a buddy who absolutely loves .... well, all of his 9mm Glocks, and I think there's a 43x in his safe somewehre. I'm a semiauto guy, but it took me a long time to come around to actually buying a Glock. I haven't been carrying it as much as I used to (since I got my Shield), but it's still a good gun. I hope you get a great price and that the 43x serves you well.

'Almost' bought one, as it feels really, really good in my hand as well. The only reason I didn't is the grip length, which seems the thing that is most important to me regarding EDC. Found the G26 fits better, for me, grip length wise plus I can use my G19/17 mags in it. Really like the width of the G26/19/17/45 grips also.

That's one of the interesting things - I have a 48 and a 26 (for a long time), and I find the 48 easier to conceal because of the width. I think the 43x/48 fills an important gap in the product line, but it's not a replacement for the baby glock.

Thanks for the feedback. I currently carry a Ruger LCR357 that has the short factory grips that I can conceal well, though I did try longer grips on it and didn't care for them. I thought about the grip length when handling the G43X and feel due to its slim girth that I should be able to conceal as I carry in appendix mode with my shirt hanging out.

I've read about those. G43X is getting better all the time.
If you do go the route of the new 15 round STEEL magazines.

Please do look at getting and installing the metal magazine release too.

I did only because I was not sure the plastic original one would last for any time .

I now have about 450 rounds through the 3 magazines and all GTG with no issues.

Note - it does add a bit of noted weight to the butt, but did not effect shooting.

p.s. forgot to mention that installing the mag release is a job for when you have time and patience.

There is a good deal less width in that mag well to maneuver ,you will note as I did !.

Took me half an hour after watching the video by Lenny Magill.

The same thing happened to me with the Springfield Armory XDs, like 8 years ago now, or however long ago they came out.

Considering you get more rounds and a flatter carry gun, what's not to like if it's reliable?

G43x/48 with Shield Arms 15 rounders is the perfect CCW in my book. I'm partial to the 48 as it's easy to hide the additional barrel length and I appreciate the additional velocity it provides for good reliable expansion.

I used to be far more into revolvers than I am now. I still like them, but it's hard to beat the simple practicality of a Glock.

When it comes to working on my guns...I have the patience of Jobe. I just enjoy taking them apart to see what makes them tick!

Yup...been there, done that. Ended up bringing it to work for the 'smith to do. Do you realize how humiliating that is?!?
