I have an old scope which hadn't been adjusted for a long time and wouldn't respond to the adjustments. I turned it the expected number of clicks, then tapped LIGHTLY on the turret with a small rubber hammer, which caused it to move until it caught up with the adjustment I had made. Worked for me. YMMV. I think whatever lube they put in had thickened over time, or maybe it just stuck from being in the same place for several years. This was a Japanese-made Simmons Gold Medal Presidential series 4-12x44, which they discontinued years ago. Notice I said tap lightly, not like driving railroad spikes! L. O. G.
