My vote would be for the PPK/S.
I forgot about this one. I actually got to fire a prototype that Colt was trying to sell to the DOJ when they were switching to 9MM. Myself and one other Firearm Instructor were allowed to shoot and evaluate it for our opinions. The DOJ didn't buy any. Of course dozens of evaluators were given the same opportunity but the consensus was:YEECCCH! Bad sights, crummy grip, and the trigger! Take a stick and draw it towards you through heavy gravel is the only way to describe it. Thanks for the menory.
Uhm, "bad trigger" =/= "carry gun." QEDWhat is the worst trigger you have experienced on a carry gun
.I thought bad trigger pulls on carry guns were sold as one of the guns "safety features"?
The grips on the prototype weren't the same as the ones the gun was sold with. I'm glad you like yours, probably worth some real $$. I'm just glad we got other choices.,I think that somehow I must have gotten the best Colt 2000 ever made, because although the trigger is nothing I would describe as good, I learned how to cope with it somehow and found the gun fairly accurate and pleasant to shoot on the range. As a defensive pistol, when under stress with the adrenaline pumping? Probably not so good.
But crummy grip, as per Terry G above? Nope, to me, the grip was well shaped and comfortable. Hands vary a lot, I guess.
Kel-Tec P3AT without a doubt.
