P3AT: 7lb Trigger Normal?

Well, the title says it all. My Gen 1 P3AT has a seven pound trigger pull and it just seems so heavy for such a light pistol. Is that normal? Or should I send it back to Kel-Tec?

Normal, they have deliberately long and heavy triggers to compensate for lack of a manual safety. You can change the springs if I'm not mistaken.

Your Trigger is Normal

Seven Lbs. is just about right. The DAO trigger was designed to feel like a revolver trigger. True, in such a light and small gun, it seems strange at first.

You really can't change it's weight without major experimentation.

If the P38T is anything like my P11, there...ah...is a mod you can do to slightly lighten the pull.

On the bottom of the grip there's a pin that holds the hammer spring in place. Replace the pin with a high quality nail that has been bent in some.

Bottom line, the triggers suck. My friend tried to fire my P11 last weekend, and was wondering why it wouldn't fire. "You gotta pull it further back."

How much does the P11 kick compared to the P3AT? 50+ 380 rounds through the P3AT left me kind of hurting Also, how accurate at 7yds is the P11? Should I wait for the PF-9 to be available instead?
