i was curious about kel-tec 9mm pistols? i was looking at their website and seen the new single stacked pf-9 and the double stacked p-11 looking for any info on either one.

The P-11 is a design that has been around since 1995. The trigger is fairly long and heavy (8.5 pounds), a lot like a DA revolver. It will hold 12+1 rounds of +P ammo with LEO-only flush-fit mags. It can also use S&W 59 and 69 series mags, and KT offers grip adapters. It makes a very comfortable IWB carry, due to its light weight.

The PF-9 is about to be introduced after some supplier-related delays (Sept. 1st). It uses some P-11 parts (including the barrel and recoil springs) and the trigger is designed around the lighter mechanism (5-6 pounds) of the small P-32 and P-3AT pocket pistols. Capacity is 7+1 rounds of +P. Size is similar to a Kahr PM9; and can be carried in large pockets or as a very thin/light IWB pistol.

Both pistols come in Blued, Parkerized, and Hard Chrome finishes. "Blued" finish has an "in the white" barrel. Grips (the whole plastic lower half of the pistol) are available in Black, Gray, and OD Green, and can be changed to different colors at a later time if desired.

A good price for a NIB Blued P-11 pistol is $230-$240, with the Parked and Hard Chrome running about $35 and $70 more respectively. The PF-9 is priced the same as the P-11 by Kel-Tec, but demand will likely make them more expensive for a while.

I have a P11 and it's a perfect 9mm carry gun. I have a 69xx smith which uses the same mags so I can carry both guns and carry only one mag for reloads.

Buy one and you will like it. :D

I've had my P11 for 9+ years, fired thousands of rounds through it flawlessly, no complaints. It's very accurate for a pocket size gun, too, rivals snubbie revolvers, much more accurate than any .380 pistol I've owned. It takes a bit of a large pocket compared to a P3 AT, but if you shop for your pants/jeans, you can find adequate pocket sizes. This is, IMHO, a perfect little pocket pistol if you have the pocket size for it. It rides barely noticable with its 14 ounce unloaded weight. It's a great little ankle carry back up, too, especially if your primary is the Smith whose mags will work in the KT. If you like DA, especially, you'll like the gun. If you are an SA shooter that is allergic to DA and refuse to learn, you probably won't like the trigger. While it is very smooth and light as revolver triggers go, it's very long, much longer than a DA revolver trigger. It takes a little getting used to. If you think you wouldn't like the trigger, you may be more a candidate for the PF9. I like DAs, especially in pocket guns, and really like the extra capacity of the P11. I don't plan on getting a PF9 anytime soon.

The best thing I like about the company is the customer support, excellent.
