Most Mondays there's an online auction in my town and I've bought quite a few things there. You have a week to look over the items and bidding starts around 5pm on a Monday afternoon. There are some great deals to be had but I see people overpay for many things, particularly firearms, but I was amazed to see the final selling price of the primers shown below. Assuming all the boxes are full that's 9,100 primers for $1,236.25 which includes the buyers 15% fee of $161.25. That's almost $0.14 per primer as opposed to the typical $0.03 per primer, or put another way, a 453% increase in cost. CRAZY!!

Crazy but...he now has some primers!

One year from now, he might be bragging about this 'bargain' that he picked up at auction.

Local gun shops are limiting quantities, but they're still only 4 cents a primer around here.

That's what I'm seeing up here too ... primers in the $3 to $4 per 100 range. I don't usually buy primers from brick and mortar stores but I was in Murdochs a while ago (2019 BC) and saw five boxes of GM205MAR on the shelf for $3/100. I had recently ordered and received 2,000 GM205MAR primers from Powder Valley but figured what the heck .... might as well get these too.

So your going to be seeing some primers being sold off one sleeve at a time around your parts for a little while.
