Okay, I’ll be honest and admit that I only went to this particular show to get this rifle as the deal was made ahead of time. Pretty hard to find the stainless/laminate rifles these days other than the 450 Bushmaster variant and even those are drying up. Found this one through a local Facebook page and got a heck of a deal on it. It’s a 270 Win and she’s been hunted hard and put up wet a few times, but at the price, I can’t really complain. Almost had a No. 1 B in 338 Win Mag follow me home as well, but we couldn’t reach an acceptable trade. Don’t know what the heck I was gonna do with a 338 WM anyway.

This one makes number 8 for me now, with number nine hopefully coming next week in the form of a 1V in 25-06. I’ve got an EGW scope mount ordered for this 270, so hopefully I can get the 30mm Burris Veracity mounted on it soon. I need to get it out to the range in the next week or so to get it zeroed and ready for deer season. If this rifle is a shooter I think we are going to get along just fine.

If I had it, and it shot without too much fuss, this might be my last and only deer rifle. Fantastic looking gun. Thank for sharing.

I was going to ask if you have been buying No. 1s and starting threads saying “another one followed me home“ because I seem to see one of these threads every few months! Then I see this is your 8th No.1!:D

That’s an awesome lineup!

You certainly have the golden eye for picking out outstanding rifles :).

Post some targets when you get a chance to hit the range, I’d love to see how they shoot for you.

Stay safe.

I went to rhe local show yesterday.
Not a single #1 or #3 in the place.

Nice score on a stainless!

Took my 77mkii all weather. Couple dealers wanted me to trade....but they had no #1s LOL.

No 870 special fields or 629s clean so it came back home.

On the way out a Jeep.guy I know stopped me. Shot him a good price. He might swing by this week.

Am still on the fence w my #1. Needs more load testing. Got a glossy vari x for it last week. Might mount it today.

It's disgusting how Ruger Ones take advantage when your are least expecting an attack. I also had it happen to me recently when suddenly, almost out of nowhere, this one appeared. They have an insidious ability to home in on your weaknesses: this one knowing I go over the edge for pretty wood, and then played the orphan card - a .218 Bee !. So I surrendered. The scope looks perfect for that too ! Is it a 12 x ? Beautiful feather on the butt ! The Bee is certainly better than the Hornet for a reloader and has just enough more poop to let you know it's not a .22 Rimfire mag . I think that model #1 is the only one with the cut away top section of right receiver ? I love the 32-20 triad for fun times.

Yeah. I would have fallen for that one as well. Gorgeous rifle.

I wanted an 8X AO for mine but none reasonable so got a 3-9X reg.
Was not a great buy either, but was tired of waiting.
IMHO a #1 needs a gloss scope.
Wish they didn't LOL, coulda saved me time, money and............headache.

Fwd turret helps.
For most, the back of the scope even w the safety is a good position.
Your scope appears to be past that a smidge.
Lucky you :)

My neck and back are not as stretchy/ flexible so what used to be normal is now uncomfortable.

I can crawl a stock. But I dont want to.
It wears on me rather quickly.

Since i dont target shoot the annoyance is minor, except when hunting and bundled.
Then it can be rather annoying, maybe even not doable.

Btw. After leveling my crosshairs and checking later and seeing they were off......i ran a level off the side of my receiver.
Then shined a flashlight through my scope, from rhe objective lens and projected the crosshairs on the wall.
There I had taped a pc of paper and had a line across it ( done w level ).

Works pretty good :)

Well, boys and girls, she’ll shoot. First three rounds at a hundred yards produced two holes. Can’t even tell which hole is two bullets. That’s running the HSM 130gr Game Kings. I’m plenty happy with the results. Shot both the new 270 K1B and the stainless International 6.5x55 out to 400 yards this morning. Both rifles shot better than I expected.
