New York hunters

Thanks Troy, just before he showed up I was thinking that this year might not be so good for me. Saw 4 squirrels while on post, gunshots on the posted land bordering the state land I was hunting, and quite a few shots down in the creek bed. As mentioned in my previous post sounded like sight in, but more likely they kept missing.. My shot lit the woods up, wonder what I scared away.. Saw some decent sized scrapes and rubs from larger racked deer. Was in the exact spot I shot both bucks last year.

We need to be careful outvthete I found several ticks on this buck
I ran home as fast as I could and threw all of my clothing in the washer and dryer. For some reason I've been q tick magnet, don't want to get sick. Usually if there is one around it'll find me.

I've seen them covered before in ticks, think that's why they seem to like the cool of. I'd possible leave the animal to cool off before touching it, the ticks will leave when the body temp goes down.

Some people seem to be attracted to ticks then others, I've only had a few on me before. I've Hurd they can sense your blood somehow

Yeah it does not take much for me been like that for about 20 yrs now. My SIL picked up lime disease a few yrs ago.

I really liked the performance of the new Burris ff2 4.5-14x42, bright clear image, all details, leaves, brush were all well defined, it impressed me might have to get a few more.

Yes they should be better, and the difference in price isn't that great either.

I went out with my 2nd son and my grandson, my son seen a small 6 pnt or so. He could of taken a quick 60 yard shot but declined.

Work then trying to fix mine. Will have a lift to do the work. I'll at least get some rubber on its I can drive farther than work.

I have that stuff here for you.

I'll try and fervour yo pick it up.

I probably won't t get back into the woods until thanksgiving morning, if wife doesn't need help with dinner, we're expecting another grandchild soon, daughter isn't due till close to Christmas, but had a car accident last week and has been in labor, no dilation though.

Got the first doe if no one else got one

Jims freezer is being delivered between now and 2pm then my son wants to take the two grandkids bowling at 5pm over in Kirkwood.

Tomorrow is all open.
