Polishing compound in a pinch

Quick question: anything I can throw in my tumbler with walnut as a polishing compound? My bottle of Frankford is had as a rock

My favorite additive is NuFinish car polish— you can find it almost anywhere— Walmart, target, Home Depot, Lowes, auto parts stores, watch out... a capful goes a long way.

Crest whitening toothpaste.

Just joking - but it does show up in search results as a life-hack for brass polish. It's probably fine for knick-knacks, but I don't want even tiny amounts of fluoride near my powder/primers.

Reinvigorate it with some odorless mineral spirits.
Drip some in and cap it. Let it absorb for a few hours, then check for desired consistency.

Any liquid car wax will do. I mix it 50-50 with mineral spirits and add a couple tablespoonfuls in every 5th or 6th load.

Another vote for Nu Finish.

Maybe add some mineral spirits to your dried up stuff?

Tens of millions of rounds have been cleaned with Nu Finish over the years without a problem.

I just pour some mineral spirits directly into the media. Sure seems to make it work faster, but I'm not really looking for a showroom finish.

I've used Brasso. Contains ammonia but never an issue. I've only been reloading for almost 50 years.
