might have to see about joining that cult, going on the if a good one pops up list for meI assume you are talking about the Remington Nylon 66. They have a bit of a cult following.
They command some pretty crazy prices these days. This one belonged to my grandfather. Rear sight has been gone for a long time and I was never able to find a replacement. The rear sight rivet provides a decent aiming point though.might have to see about joining that cult, going on the if a good one pops up list for me
Yep, Remington Nylon 66.
It's always a good day to shoot some .22s.
All days are good days to shoot some 22s.
Yup, every range session is a great time to warm up with, and cool down on, a rimfire rifle or pistol.
Stay safe.
I was unable to get out for a 22LR day at the range...it's flooded out.
That's no fun. Hope the range isn't damaged in any way.
Stay safe.
Love the Anschutz! One of these years I am going to get a running boar rifle like that .I've been out in the garden these last couple of weeks doing some off hand practice with the .22. I went down the range last weekend and shot on the running boar range. First visit in 18 months because of the lurgy pandemic Not as rusty as I thought I'd be and came away happy. Will be back next weekend practicing for a running boar comp on the 1st june.

Its a Anschutz 64 MS R walnut. A discontinued model that I saw in my Lgs a few years back. I traded in my old Brno CZ that was a great hunting rifle but too long and light for the running boar range and field target shooting. I'm very pleased with the Anschutz and it shoots CCI standard round really accurately. I liked the look of the Anschutz MPR first but when I handled one and then the MS the MS won.Love the Anschutz! One of these years I am going to get a running boar rifle like that .
Stay safe.
Like the Remington 66Dusted off a few guns that haven’t been out of the safe in a while. I had all but stopped shooting rimfires before the last ammunition panic. I figured I still need to be shooting something every chance I get and since I still have a pretty decent stock of 22LR ammo, I started buying some guns chambered in 22LR in the last few months. Figured I ought to at least own one scoped rifle chambered in 22LR. Well, now I own three. The dang things just keep multiplying. Anybody else find themselves shooting more rimfire these days?View attachment 999736
Around here you can find 22lr @ $ .07/ round about half the time you go looking for it.With .22LR prices hovering at 20 cents per, even the rimmys are off the table for the time being.
I have 7K .22LRs stocked up and will not be expending any of them until prices return to sane levels. I won't use what I won't want to spend to afford to stock up the ones I have.
Yep. It’s a Cricket. It belongs to my daughter, but I enjoy playing with it.Yup I love my .22s. I was big into surplus ammo and milsurps in the 90s, 2ks. Then had torn rotator cuffs and surgery in 2007 and 2010. That took the fun out of those. Hey OP whats the little laminated bolt action? I like the youth models. Ahh Crickett.
