I was kind of hoping a shotgun, but the hint says “Pistol, Revolver or Rifle”
Pics or it didn't happen. . . literally!. . . and a photo of the recipient with the prize must be received by Ruger no later than July 3.
I'd love a bolt carbine that accepts 1911 mags....Rugerized Marlin, SxS, Camp Carbine in 45, or SR series would be my preference.
Reality is a .380 ACP or 9mm subcompact or compact polymer combat Tupperware.
Ruger tried the SxS thing - it failedI want a Ruger SxS scattergun or Marlin 336 in stainless/walnut.
Unpopular opinion: I think it was a mistake for Ruger to discontinue the SR series pistols in order to introduce the Security and American lines. So I would like to see something like those make a comeback. One thing that set the SR apart was you could get them in 9, 40, and 45. Every company is so focused on making as many wonder 9mms as possible so I doubt this will happen.
My guess is it will be something from Marlin stamped Ruger. Like a Ruger 336.
That's my vote. Savage has been putting out a chassis style 6.5 target gun which appears to be well received. I'm guessing something similar from Ruger. That ought to make it another "American ®" plasti-gun.
Doesn't mean a second attempt will. I'd pay good for a decent quality American made Hammerless SxS.Ruger tried the SxS thing - it failed

Then go buy one from CSMC - they will well direct and ship to your FFLDoesn't mean a second attempt will. I'd pay good for a decent quality American made Hammerless SxS.
They haven't for decades, at least by them.I was surprised that Savage-Stevens doesn’t list a SxS anymore.
Negatory pardner. That bird won't fly. Then go buy one from CSMC - they will well direct and ship to your FFL
The fine print says price will be $489 with ten awarded. So no Marlin I suppose. However it could be a .22 cal.
