I have better luck with the “ask for forgiveness“ method.

My wife would probably think those are off brand tide pods or something. She still think “making bullets” is something nobody else but me does.

Probably not, unless she knows what guns you already have and what guns you want to have!

If anything she might think you want her to order you more Starline brass for reloading!

Oh, I had assumed you had already purchased a 500 without asking, as is the usual custom.

I showed my wife the picture and she got it right off. She said you were hinting that you want to take her on a nice vacation. Of course my wife asked me to get a gallon of milk. Then she added, if they have avocados get six. Then she was upset when I came home with six gallons of milk.

I run a pair of those molds during a casting session. The 20 lb. pot goes empty every few minutes...

Having a wife that understands you is half the battle. I would love a 500 S&W. In a rifle.

All I know is...Am just glad I don't have to ask how am gonna spend MY money.

I have been married 41 years.
Wives give hints and expect success.
Giving the wife hints does not work.
Sometimes I just buy and then listen to the turbulence. Other times I tell her what I want, find it then tell her I am buying it…then comes the art of negotiation where I am at a 50% success rate for short term acquisition satisfaction. I eventually get what I want. Patience is key sometimes.

My way to enlist the support of my wife for a firearms related purchase was to ask this question. Het sweetie, what is something you want but do not have? The sad pert was that her answer often was Nothing.

Here's a thought: just go buy the stuff. It's not like you're after a first year Python, or even a Hi-Point, for that matter.
