And there's a reason for that." A local shop has it for $700 ... been sitting there for years.

then it would be in my mind until I die… Rumor has is, it was custom tune by Uberti custom shop and only 100 was madeAt $700 I would pass. I honestly don’t know much about Uberti internal parts and highly doubt I ever will.
If it were me, since they have “had the gun for years” I would wait a week. Do some more research. The desire might cool over a few days.
Then it was waiting for me… Just waiting for crazy old me to actually like it…And there's a reason for that.
Okay. Don't shoot your foot off. Then it was waiting for me… Just waiting for crazy old me to actually like it…
I’m buying it guys! it matches my 1873 24” .357! just not the same caliber and stuff

add a Cobra to the pearl! now we taking! In that case…I hope you really enjoy it.
Far be it from me to question anyone’s firearm desires. I am getting ready to overhaul a New Vaquero and installing white imitation pearl grips on it.
Original! must cost you a pretty penny!View attachment 1026569 These are SAA. Original and Ruger. If you want it, get it. Not for me.
My Wife bought it for me when we absolutely couldn't afford it for Christmas. Long ago, for $700.00 when $700.00 was a LOT of money.Original! must cost you a pretty penny!
You need to reload, I shot 100 rounds out of my 696 just last week. Just loaded that back up yesterday as a matter of fact. No shortage of 44 or most other things around here. At least as long as the primers hold out.
I point shoot all the time, and sights, or the lack of them, really isnt an issue at closer distances, its not at all hard to make good hits, but it does take practice. Everything isnt always close either, so what then? Or do you only practice for things up close?
So, with the 44 Spl being a "low pressure " round, you dont mind that blast and crap coming up to your face from the porting when firing from retention?
And being its low pressure, whats the point of porting it anyway?
I suppose on the plus side, not having that front sight, you dont have to deal with trying to get all that crap off the front sight after youve shot it a couple of cylinders full. The lead from LSWC's is a real PITA. And your face too, if youre not careful.
it’s missing the Rollers so Not Complete! I will pass… unless it’s a ridiculously low price later. Like $400The story on Internet Movie Firearms Database is that the revolver originally had a conventional hammer, but when Sylverster stallone fanned it, it tore his hand up.
So the armourer added rollers to the hammer to make it easier on him.
As a replica of a movie prop, it might have had some curiosity value, if complete as seen in the movie.
