Either old scopes are weird or someone put that thing on backwards.
Man that target looks really really small... Might as well be an OEGLOL! Bout time someone else picked up on that!
Anyone else see a problem here? Just an ever so little detail. Anyone?
I've got a scope like that on an AR-15 with a front sight/gas block. The front sight is blurred out except on the lowest power.

REALLY? Does your front sight look REALLY, REALLY far away as well? Being it’s installed BACKWARDS?!?
I see it's the scope, but there's also the ugly original lawyer mandated hand guard designed to protect you from a non existent problem.Anyone else see a problem here? Just an ever so little detail. Anyone?
Lawyers and Bill Ruger can mess some stuff up!I see it's the scope, but there's also the ugly original lawyer mandated hand guard designed to protect you from a non existent problem.
First thing I changed.
Naw its made for lefties, we all know they backwards!LOL! Bout time someone else picked up on that!
So that's what that thing is? Designed to protect you from the op rod? Really?but there's also the ugly original lawyer mandated hand guard designed to protect you from a non existent problem.
That's odd for a mini. They usually throw the cases to the next county. It would not surprise me that closing on a spent case causes a jamb. I experienced that on occasion shooting parade blanks without an adapter. The bolt would only partially open than close and not quite be all the way into.battery. The question here is why is it closing on a spent case?I have a spent casing get stuck now and then when the slide closes. It gets stuck tight too. I need a mallet to move the slide back. Will it lesson as i break it in?
Nah. Thats the way you mount a scope so your 25yd targets look like they're at 250yds.Either old scopes are weird or someone put that thing on backwards.

Mini 14 is going to get a good scope. She deserves it.
I was having an issue with the extractor not popping over the rim on my mini a while back. A good cleaning of the extractor plunger, spring, and bore got it running in tip top shape again.Looks like the case is bouncing back into the action after being ejected.
I'd take apart the bolt and really clean the extractor, ejector, spring, and all race ways well.
Wouldn't hurt to clean the gas system also.
