OK, I'm not up on any scope newer than 1980 or so. But all my scopes have the big lens forward....?????
I don't get it either. All of my scopes have the big lens forward too, and I DO have several scopes newer than 1980 - newer than 2000 in fact. o_O

Depending on design, most target and hunting scopes have a larger objective lens, however most low magnification tactical do not. Note it is only a 24mm, that is just under an inch.

I'm sure everyone gets a lot of emails from every gun site that they've been to.

I got this last night and started laughing as soon as I saw it.

Someone wasn't paying attention.
Could be pretty tough on the shooter if he/she looked through the scope from the eyepiece when shooting. That's a first for me. I've seen scopes mounted with the turrets wrong, but never one backwards.
