Thanks Startling. It came upon me as a huge surprise but at 75 years old, body parts are wearing out or have already worn out. Pacemaker may help but I feel it may be time to transfer ownership of the land to my son or sell. I will revisit these thought in a few months. If I do sell, I will be very picky to whom I sell to with convenances to always keep this land hunting land and never allowing development or subdivisions. I am within a mile of 14000 acres of WMA and surrounded by other large land owners. All of us want to keep this land as it is and to enjoy all the wildlife here.
I will send that bear and a few others your way. We actually got a cougar here also. I do not want them to get established here because of the amount of deer they eat. So, I will send the cougar along with the bears.
I’m sorry to hear about your health issues! What part of the country are you in?Because of health issues I will not be hunting this year. Perhaps next year. So I thought I might share a few pictures of a few animals my camera is picking up on my propertyView attachment 1108972 View attachment 1108973 View attachment 1108974

I am sorry to hear of your health issues preventing an activity you love. You could put your land into a conservation easement to ensure non-development. The encumbrance of a conservation easement would likely be at least somewhat off-putting to many future buyers and may result on an impact to value of the land, should you or your heirs desire to sell, but could be one pathway to stave off development. Thanks Startling. The offer stands. If you need anything, just let me know.Captcurt. really appreciate the offer. At this time, walking from my bedroom to the living room (about 20 steps) makes me feel like I have just climbed a very steep mountain and I am out of breath and completely exhausted. My son in out on the property at this time putting up several hundred more t-posts. I wish I was out there helping him but it is impossible to leave the house. We got home healthcare nurses coming to our home to take blood for the lab because I cannot make the trip to the Dr. Office. Hunting is the least of my worries right now even though I yearn to go at least one more time. When I am sitting and doing nothing I feel pretty good so for now, being on the computer and watching re runs on TV is the extent of my activities. Again, thanks for the offer that was very kind of you.
My dad battled CHF for years. I know exactly what you mean about not having energy to do more than walk to the living room. I pray you'll be able to hunt at least one more season.Captcurt. really appreciate the offer.
