Here in Phoenix, my LGS was a place to go to and shop, only 3 aisles wide, archery, leather, COMPONENTS (powder, all kinds of primers, brass'n bullets), reloading tools and accessories, airgun, 50 ft of display cases with handguns and a few scopes'n sights. Walls behind counters loaded with long guns.
I never new personnel names, but I felt good shopping there, always had what I needed, and special ordered buddy's handgun.
Last time I went there, there was a sign on the door saying they had moved two doors down to the corner. New digs are bright with all the corner windows, like walking into a Walgreen's or CVS. Lots of accessories, open floorspace, no one I recognized, all but two appeared to be under 25-30 and were more interested in talking together than what I maybe wanted. Never been back. Now my LGS is Sportsman's Whse.
Wish I had been able to spend more to support my old LGS.
