Made in China ya think/I have had some put away & forgot them, by the time I found them again they wouldn't expand right because the material they are made from had gotten stiff.

They’re good for motorcycle riding, too.
The wind rushing by your ears is loud enough to slowly erode your hearing over time, even in a full face helmet.
I generally get two or three rides out of a pair before I look at them and think “I ain’t putting that in my ears”.
For shooting I double them up with muffs every time.
I like using the used ones I find at the range to load into a primed 45acp case ....
The orange or blue domed cylindrical disposable plugs have a NRR of 33. Hard to get better than that. The original E-A-R yellow foamy earplugs are NRR 29 which is better than some custom molded plugs that cost as much as a box of foamies.Seriously, the disposable foam earplugs are great if its all you can afford. But when you hit your sixties you may wish you had spent a few $$ more on better ear pro.
Hearing impairment is no joke.
Very easy.........ear plugs AND muffs. The orange or blue domed cylindrical disposable plugs have a NRR of 33. Hard to get better than that. .
Doubling up is always better, but name a brand of single ear plug with better than 33 rating.Very easy.........ear plugs AND muffs.
Why?Doubling up is always better, but name a brand of single ear plug with better than 33 rating.
Because earplugs with a 33 NRR plus over-ear protection with a 22 NRR beats earplugs with a 26 NRR plus over-ear protection with a 22 NRR every time. (38 vs 31)Why?
Ear plug+ ear muff beats a single plug everytime.
And guess what..........ear plugs with any rating AND ear muffs are still better than plug alone.Because earplugs with a 33 NRR plus over-ear protection with a 22 NRR beats earplugs with a 26 NRR plus over-ear protection with a 22 NRR every time. (38 vs 31)
Maybe I’m mistaken but I think the point is good plugs get you into the “safe” range. So why add another layer if no damage is occurring? And guess what..........ear plugs with any rating AND ear muffs are still better than plug alone.
Funny how that works.
There is no safe range, only safer.Maybe I’m mistaken but I think the point is good plugs get you into the “safe” range. So why add another layer if no damage is occurring?
Again, I could be mistaken.
True, but the same can be said for nearly anything. Do you drive with your seatbelt on? How about a helmet, fire suit? Radio off, wanna protect your hearing after all. There is no safe range, only safer.
Not really. And guess what..........ear plugs with any rating AND ear muffs are still better than plug alone.
Funny how that works.
